Never lets go The Expanse is a great TV series, but the underlying novels (this one unfilmed as of 2018) are even better. This one changes from pure space adventure to the challenges of conquering a truly alien world while battling all-too human divisions in a frontier environment where the fingers of the law have all the power and the long arm is tenuous at best.Cibola burn reunites us with the crew of the Rocinante, and adds its own slew of great characters, from a Nigerian scientist whose repressed horniness almost equals her genius, to an implacable, merciless lawman who would’ve been at home in the days of peak colonialism.Above all however this is a story of unending conflict, between colonists and bureaucrats, each group with its own divisions, romances and crises of conscience, but also between man and unpredictable, carelessly hostile nature, and also between the remnant creation of godlike aliens and the nemesis that ended their civilization billions of years ago.I have been reading SF for 55 years, and I consider myself as jaded as they come. This novel kept me glued to the page, with a feeling I haven’t had since the long ago days of Dune and Stranger in a strange land.

On the title... FYI, coin hunting is hard work and getting rich off of it would be like hitting the lottery. Possible, yes, highly unlikely though. But, this is a great hobby, one which the whole family can enjoy together. It takes hard work with long eye straining hours to find a nice several-dollar worth coin. That being said this book has a wealth of great information including tons of great black-and-white close-up photos and details on how to tell the difference from one coin which is a low-value 'error' coin and one which is TRULY collectable! I have found several very nice finds directly because of this book. I highly recommend this to everyone interested in coin collecting whether you are a long-time collector or someone just starting out. If you are new, get two good magnifying eye loops, a 10x and 14x, this will really help in your coin-error hunting. I am extremely happy I made this purchase!THE THRILL OF THE HUNT WITH POTENTIAL FOR GREAT REWARDS, AWAIT WITHIN! Primarily, this book will appeal to coin collectors, although you don't need to collect coins to wonder whether the change in your pocket might include a rare, and perhaps valuable, error penny, nickel, or dime. Written in a clear and engaging style, "Strike It Rich With Pocket Change" is appropriate for readers from 8 - 80. The text is laid out in a concise and logical sequence so that specific information is easy to find. Information is included for coin issues only up to 2009, and an updated edition is needed. Most people who order this book will know that they are unlikely to "Strike it Rich with Pocket Change." The reason some of these coins are valuable is because many are exceedingly rare (1969-S, doubled die Lincoln Cent, only one known). There are, however, ample examples of errors that can be commonly found in change (value $2 - $5). If the "hunt" is part of the enjoyment, this book, used as a "trusty guide", can provide hours of entertainment. It is not a book to be read, and then discarded, but, rather a reference that can be consulted time, and time again. For me, the book underscored how there are many coins with extremely small errors floating around in every day pocket change. For instance, looking at the reverse of the Lincoln Memorial cent under magnification you might notice that the detail of the Memorial has been doubled, or even tripled, creating additional upright supports for the building. This falls into the category of minutia for me, and is too small, and too minute, even under magnification, that searching for it feels a lot like "work." After reading about the 1974-D, doubled die Kennedy Half, I noticed an example for sale and purchased it for $20, in an unopened Mint Set. With that purchase, the book paid for itself. There is a ton of information included in this book and it could be very helpful, even valuable to readers from more than just the numismatic community. If the thrill of the hunt is what you crave, and the potential for real (but unlikely) reward for your efforts, then this is the book for you.
